    Comparative Age Determination in Some Lacertids (Lacerta trilineata s.l., Parvilacerta parva, Ophisops elegans)

    A skeletochronological comparison of three lacertid lizards that share habitat across Anatolia but differ sharply in body size and life history. Growth marks in phalangeal cross-sections are used to estimate individual age, age at sexual maturity and longevity, and to ask how those parameters scale between a large-bodied green lizard and two small-bodied species.
